BASIC NURSE ASSISTANT

The Basic Nurse Assistant (BNA)  Training includes theory and clinical experience to obtain a position, utilizing skills required in bedside nursing care, such as medical terminology, ADL, vital signs, body mechanics, transferring and lifting of patient. The course is 243 clock hours.  Training will provide proficiency skill levels to obtain state certification. The Basic Nurse Assistant (BNA) will also learn guidelines for patient and worker safety.

 Admission Requirements

Individuals wanting an entry level position in the Medical Field.  Applicant must have a High School Diploma or GED.  Test at least at an eighth grade reading level and pass a background check.

OFFICE OPERATIONS ASSISTANT

After completing this course the Office Operations Assistant will be able to use Keyboarding skills, English/Spelling skills, Office Procedures skills and various software programs successfully on the job.  They will prepare an effective quality resume: present a professional and confident interview image and type 50 wpm with 5 or less errors on a 5 minute test.  The course is 650 hours of classroom instruction which includes two weeks internship.

Admission Requirements

Individuals wanting an entry level position in the Administrative Professional field.  Applicant must have a High School Diploma or GED.  Test at least at an eighth grade reading level.  Manual dexterity and knowledge of the keyboard. (Typing test is required).

CLERICAL SUPPORT ASSISTANT

After completing this course of study, the student will be able to use Keyboarding skills, ten-key skills, telephone techniques, and various software programs successfully on the job.  They will prepare an effective quality resume: present a professional and confident interview image and type 45 wpm with 5 or less errors on a 5 minute test.  The course is 325 clock hours of classroom instruction which includes one week of internship.

Admission Requirements

Individuals wanting an entry level clerical/data entry position, or other related office occupations.   Applicant must have a High School Diploma or GED.  Test at least at an eighth grade reading level.  Manual dexterity and knowledge of the keyboard. (Typing test is required).
