The ultimate goal of The Institute is to educate individuals for employable occupations or upgrades into new positions, thus supplying the community with tax-paying citizens.

Bits and Bytes Training Facility

The Institute is located on a major bus line connecting Belleville, East St. Louis and Metro Link Transportation services to St. Louis. It is housed in an office complex which totals 11900 square feet. This complex is on one level, therefore, making it easily accessible to the disabled.

The training facility has the following: a reception area, secretary's area, Faculty lounge, library, three restroom facilities, four administrative offices, one coat closet with three classrooms and four computer laboratories. Each lab is equipped with hardware and software to meet the diverse training needs of our customers. Laboratory One has 13 Gateway Pentium III class PC's with 17 inch monitors, and DVD drives. Laboratory Two has 13 Gateway Pentium III class PC's with 17 inch monitors.

Laboratory Three has 13 Gateway Pentium IV class PC's with 17 inch monitors The two lecture classrooms will accommodate 12 students each. In addition, our child care department also has 10 PC's.

The Development Center has 1,800 square feet which houses a reception area, two classrooms, a reading library room, a multipurpose room, two computer laboratories, staff office, a dining area, kitchen, two restrooms, and two storage rooms.

Within two miles of the Institute, there are several eating establishments, banks, service stations, shopping facilities, a post office, and a hospital.
